My name is Nickie, and I am an indie writer on a journey to publication.
I'm currently working on my debut novel, Project Moth, a psychological thriller centered around a female protagonist desperate for a fresh start. It just so happens that this fresh start is in the form of a new job at the Hewitt Center for Psychological Behavior and Rehabilitation, a psychiatric facility housing dangerous patients, including the son of a notorious serial killer...
As she navigates the job, the facility, and her evolving sympathy for the patients, she uncovers a part of her past that changes her life forever.

I'm an avid horror movie fan, so I am always down to watch scary movies and discuss which slasher would win in a fight. If you have any recommendations, please reach out!
Inside me there are two wolves – the horror girly and the sundress wearing, pink loving, hopeless romantic who loves to curl up with a good romance novel! (bonus points if cowboys are involved)
When I'm not writing, I like to read, camp, hike, and break the bank at estate sales and thrift stores. If you enjoy any of these, then we are already friends 😊

If something is difficult for me to talk about in a conversation, I typically put it in a poem. I've recently discovered my love for poetry, and I put all of my favorite works on my site. While some capture the sweeter moments of my life, other poems touch on darker themes and societal problems that I'm frustrated I can't fix.
Why I created Cozy Book Cabin
As indie writers, the writing process can be lonely. With CBC, I am hoping to build a community of like-minded authors that support each other.
