The night sea is a staggering
force of nature.
An abyss that you can feel and hear,
but not see.
The stillness of the earth colliding with the chaos of the waves
serves as a portal from what you've known
to what could be.
The sand pulls your feet down as you walk,
the land's last vain attempt to keep you
on the shore.
But try though it might,
your heart blazes forward,
your soul in tow.
Ahead towards the unknown.
